Below are singles from the album that I am currently working on. The album title is "End of the World Show."

Signs and Wonders


This song was based on a Kurzweil patch. The intro melody line was completed in about 30 minutes. The patch kind of wrote the melody and seemed to have a kind of wandering sort of vibe to it. So I loosely based the lyrics on the Book of Exodus.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening (a poem by Robert Frost )


This song happened by accident. I’d been working on a new melody for about three hours and began to lose my concentration. I'd been reading an anthology of Robert Frost’s poetry and turned to Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening. Darkness and Light


This song developed from a frenetic acoustic guitar riff that I used to play as a warm-up exercise. When we began to mix it down, it all seemed too busy so we cut the acoustic track on which it was based. 

The lyrics were taken from the period of my life between high school and college. There was no place in particular that I wanted to be, and no place felt like home.  I ended up

Waiting for Miles


I finished writing this song at Rick Gilbreath’s dining room table a couple of months before he left for Nashville to play keyboard for Sammy Kershaw. Those lush 6/9 chords were Rick’s idea. He was a gifted keyboard player that I hoped would play this.  Unfortunately, Rick passed away before I recorded it.


I thought that it would be cool to incorporate a horn as a nod to Miles Davi

Kelly’s Theme - I was scrolling through synth patches one day and found this really cool patch on the Yamaha. It was at this stage of completion when my wife asked if she could use it as an intro to her podcast. I told her that I'd be honored.
